Job Duties:

The Senior Accountant will conduct the following duties: prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to procedural and reporting standards. Review engagements involving cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, and payroll. Analyze expenses, business operations, trends, financial commitments, and revenues to project future revenues and expenses. Assist management in the planning of engagement and regarding the finances of establishment. Provide day-to-day supervision of engagements. Maintain close contact with key client personnel and direct their work activity. Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records and financial information to prepare financial reports and statements. Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Develop, implement, and advise on systems of financial and budgetary data, making use of current computer technology; survey and analyze operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Communicate with Latin American clients. Perform duties of an outsourced accounting manager/CEO for corporate clients with subsidiaries abroad in Mexico or Latin America. Use knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, NAFTA and Mexican GAAPS and taxation principles and laws to advise clients on various issues.

Minimum Prerequisites: bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of accounting and auditing management experience with Mexican GAAPs.
